The Valpolicella Ripasso DOC "La Groletta" 2021 by Corte Giara is a Ripasso that impresses from the first sip.

Its intense ruby red color in the glass is typical of a high-quality Ripasso. The nose is dominated by notes of ripe red fruits, in particular cherries and plums. These are refined by warm spicy accents and a touch of dried rose petals.

What makes Ripasso special is its unique production method, in which the Valpolicella wine is refermented on the residual pomace of the Amarone, giving it further complexity and character. The result on the palate is a full-bodied wine, with a rich structure, velvety tannins and a persistent finish in which harmonious notes of fruit and spices can be felt.
