L'Orso Nero Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2018 is a rich and enveloping red wine, produced from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown on the hills of Chieti, on the slopes of the Maiella. Ruby red in color with carmine reflections, it releases aromas of black cherries, raspberries, plums, dried flowers, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper. On the palate it is warm, fresh, balanced and harmonious, with delicate tannins and a persistent finish. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, it is ideal with cured meats, aged cheeses, arrosticini and first courses rich in sauce. A wine that tells the authenticity of Abruzzo.
Wine obtained from Pecorino grapes harvested at certain ripeness, towards the end of September or the beginning of October and vinified according to traditional methods, with an alcoholic fermentation carried out with certified yeasts in stainless steel containers, subsequently finishing the refinement in the bottle for about 2/3 months before being placed on the market. Excellent with raw fish, risottos, medium-aged cheeses but also with a nice plate of spaghetti with clams, with a carbonara, baked fish or white meats. A decidedly versatile wine, decidedly territorial, decidedly Abruzzo.
