
Description
Etsu Pacific Ocean Water Gin is distilled at the Asahikawa distillery in Hokkaido. Hokkaido is the second largest of the archipelago's four main islands, but the second least populated.
It is located north of the island of Honshu, from which it is separated by the Tsugaru Strait. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Sea of Japan to the west, and the Sea of Okhotsk to the north. In the Meiji era (1868-1912),
the island received its current name: Hokkaido, which means "the way to the North Sea".
Fresh water from the mountain spring and sea water from the Sea of Japan are added to carefully selected botanicals such as juniper berries,
bitter orange peel, licorice root, angelica root and coriander to create this unique gin that captures the Japanese coast in one bottle.
How to serve it
We recommend a dry, neutral tonic to ensure the full flavor of this gin, we really enjoyed it with Three Cents Dry Tonic.
In a large glass filled with ice, add 50ml of gin and gently pour over 150 - 200ml of tonic.
Gently mix and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
