Description
Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs
Chardonnay is the soul of Maison Ruinart. Its grapes, coming mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, are the heart of all its cuvées. Equipped with a great aromatic freshness, lively, pure, bright, it represents the common thread of all the assemblies made by the house. Delicate and fragile, Chardonnay expands and offers the measure of its aromatic richness only during slow maturation in the coolness of the Crayères: up to three years for non-vintage wines, nine to ten years for a Dom Ruinart.
Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol: 12.5%
Serving temperature: 6/8 °C
AT THE SIGHT: The brilliant appearance of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs denotes a beautiful pale yellow, enriched with almond green reflections and jade nuances.
ON THE NOSE: At first nose, intense aromas of fresh fruit emerge: ripe lemons, juicy pears or freshly picked peaches. More floral, on the second nose it reveals a hint of white flowers, together with a spicy note of ginger and pink berries.
IN THE MOUTH: Between tension and roundness, the texture is enveloping, sublimated by an aromatic freshness of ripe citrus fruits and exotic fruits. The mineral note is persistent and delicate.
PAIRINGS: Even as an aperitif, it goes well with countless fish-based preparations. Sea bass tartare with citrus fruits and ginger, grilled sole.
