MONTE ALBAN MEZCAL WITH GUSANO 100% AGAVE CL.70

Monte Alban Mezcal is distilled in a continuous pot still from the espadin agave plant.

It was, in chronological order, one of the first mezcals to be marketed all over the world.

It takes its name from the most important pre-Columbian archaeological site in the state of Oaxaca. It contains the "gusano", of which the legend tells that it gives those who eat it either strength or courage and which even acts as an aphrodisiac.

Over the years different beliefs have followed one another which have created an aura of mystery around the larva that inhabits each bottle. Ideal to drink neat, it is also indicated in mixology as a base for a Smoky Margarita, Paloma, El Diablo, or accompanied by a traditional sangrita.
