Grappa obtained from aging in fine French oak barrels. Amber in color, despite aging, this grappa has a pleasant fruity scent softened by a hint of vanilla that makes the taste particularly harmonious. Aging consists in the conservation of the distillate, for a certain period, in wooden barrels or barriques. The term barrique means a wooden barrel of French origin, with a capacity between 225 and 228 liters used for fermentation or l aging of wine. Born as a unit of measure of volume, the peculiarity of the barrique lies in the ability to allow greater oxygenation of the content by virtue of the volume / contact surface ratio more favorable compared to larger barrels.
