Amaranta Montepulciano D'Abruzzo is the confirmation of the exceptional nature of a terroir like that of the Crecchio area.

This wine comes from the passion of the Ulisse brothers and from their bond with the historical Abruzzo vines, with the traditions of the places where they are grown and vinified.

A wine of indisputable class, it is the dutiful homage, of love and respect, to the greatest red grape of Abruzzo.

Grape variety:

Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Grape Variety The origin of this black grape variety has always been uncertain. Even scholars such as Molon (1906) classified it among the Sangioveti.

Today it is certain that the two grape varieties have nothing in common. It is grown mainly in Abruzzo and in the other central-southern regions.

Thanks to the careful work of some producers and oenologists, Montepulciano has emerged as one of the highest quality red grape varieties.

Vinification : Crushing - destemming · 15/20 days of maceration and alcoholic fermentation in steel at 24-26 ° C Aging: 9/12 months in fine French and American barriques.

Organoleptic characteristics, combinations :

Very intense and elegant ruby red color. The nose is broad and complex, fruity with hints of plums, cherry jam and notes of tobacco with a spicy tail.

In the mouth it is balanced, complex with the tannic structure well blended with the alcoholic component.

Full-bodied and with an excellent balance between alcoholic strength and tannin.

Ideal with succulent first courses in red sauce, roasts and various semi-mature cheeses.
