Description
Pez together with Calon is the oldest vineyard in Saint-Estèphe.
Their origin dates back to the 15th century when Monsieur Jean de Briscos ruled them in 1452; in 1562 it was the turn of the “nobleman” Ducos, followed from 1585 by Jean de Pontac.
It is to the Pontacs, also founders of Château Haut-Brion, that PEZ owes its vineyards.
Pez remained with the descendants of this family until the French Revolution, will later be sold as a "national good" to pass several times
by hand (until June 1995) when purchased by the Champagne Louis Roederer House. Chateau
