For about thirty years Casale del Giglio (IGT-IGP), the winery of Antonio Santarelli, with its Shiraz confirms itself, year after year, always at the level of expectations, for quality and pleasantness. Thirty years from the first time in which this vine, until then absolutely unknown and foreign to this land, was introduced in the Pontine countryside; a choice that turned out to be thoughtful and successful, able to express the full potential of this particular wine-growing area. A Shiraz of character and structure, with dark and, at times, oriental taste-olfactory sensations. Dark ruby red color, it expresses intense and typical notes of sour cherry and black currant to the nose, dark spices such as licorice and black pepper, aromatic herbs and balsamic nuances. On the palate it has an impact, with a fleshy structure and well expressed tannins. Long spicy persistence.
