Blended Scotch Whiskey produced by William Sanderson & Son of West Lothian, Scotland, VAT 69 is the result of a careful and selected blend of 40 types of wheat whiskeys, with a full and balanced character; owes its name to the barrel n. 69 (the VAT in fact) which, in a tasting in 1886, a jury of tasters chose and preferred over a hundred. Its taste, straightforward and reliable. Bright gold color, hints of spice and caramel on the nose, light notes of barley malt and fresh fruit. On the palate round, smooth and clean, it confirms the malty and spicy notes, the caramel and a touch of dry pastry. Plain or with ice, simply good.
