Description
Taurasi Feudi di San Gregorio Red Wine
Feudi Di San Gregorio Taurasi is a wine of volcanic origin, and the soil on which the vines are placed transfers a deep mineral imprint to the liquid. The vineyards are located between 350 and 700 meters above sea level, cultivated with respect for the environment and biodiversity. After a careful selection of the best bunches, fermentation and maceration take place in steel tanks for approximately 3-4 weeks. The refinement takes place in medium toasted French oak barriques and lasts approximately 18 months, followed by a period of approximately six months in the bottle. The passage in small wooden barrels, in addition to broadening the wine's range, is functional in smoothing out and softening the youthful impetuosity of Aglianico.
The Taurasi Feudi di San Gregorio wine shows a lively ruby red color. The classic aromatic complement of the vine emerges on the nose, made of plum and black pepper, enriched by spicy nuances of cinnamon and clove. Powerful but extremely balanced sip, by virtue of a well-calibrated softness and an already sweet and ripe tannin. The long persistence recalls juicy dishes, such as braised meat with Aglianico, for a great territorial partnership. A weighty wine, which however knows how to be appreciated for its drinkability. Multifaceted.
